This was the original reason for driving to Whichford on a beautiful spring afternoon.
With the sun halfway between its zenith and the horizon, having warmed the earth and excited the bluebells, the contrasts helped to add drama to the flowers and the colours.  This is the hill at the beginning of the broadleaf wood of Beech, Oak, & Hornbeam.

Whichford is in the Cotswolds, not far from Hook Norton and approximately equidistant from Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh and Shipston on Stour, about 15 miles to the south of Stratford-upon-Avon
